Ingredients
16 oz spaghetti (or any pasta)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 pounds shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 splash white wine (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta for 10 to 12 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until aromatic.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
- Pour in the white wine if using and let it simmer briefly.
- Add the heavy cream and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in the chopped basil, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and serve hot.
