Ingredients

• 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
• 4 teaspoons all purpose flour
• 1 (9 inch) frozen unbaked pie crust
• ½ cup cooked ham, diced
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup milk
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
• 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
• 2 tablespoons chopped pimento peppers

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather all ingredients so they are ready to use.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded Swiss cheese with the flour and mix well. Spread this cheese mixture evenly over the frozen pie crust. Sprinkle the diced ham over the cheese layer.
  • In another bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, salt, and dry mustard until the mixture becomes smooth and fully blended. Slowly pour the egg mixture over the cheese and ham inside the pie crust.
  • If necessary, wrap a thin strip of foil around the outer edge of the crust to prevent it from browning too quickly during baking.
  • Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the filling is firm and the crust turns golden. Insert a knife into the center to check if it comes out clean, which indicates the quiche is fully cooked.
  • Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Sprinkle chopped parsley and pimento peppers on top before slicing and serving.
