Beef and Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients
- ⅓ cup oyster sauce
- ⅓ cup sherry
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ¾ pound beef round steak, sliced thin
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 thin slice fresh ginger
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and smashed
- 1 pound broccoli florets
Directions
- Whisk oyster sauce, sherry, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl until smooth.
- Add sliced beef to the marinade, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add ginger and garlic; let sizzle for about 1 minute, then discard.
- Add broccoli and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until bright green and almost tender. Remove and set aside.
- Add a bit more oil if needed, then add the marinated beef. Stir-fry until meat is no longer pink and sauce thickens.
- Return broccoli to the wok, tossing everything together until heated through.
- Serve hot over rice.
