  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (loosely packed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (125 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt

To Serve

  • Vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Peel, core, and cut apples into 1/2-inch cubes.
  3. In a bowl, toss apples with flour, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in a 1.5-quart baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter until clumps form.
  5. Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over apples.
  6. Bake for 30–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Let rest 10 minutes to allow filling to thicken.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
