Ingredients
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- ½ medium lime, cut into 3 wedges, divided
- 2 tablespoons white sugar (or to taste)
- 1 cup ice cubes (as needed)
- 1 ½ fluid ounces white rum
- ½ cup club soda (or as needed)
How to Make
- Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Use a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to crush and release the mint oils and lime juice.
- Add the remaining lime wedges and sugar. Muddle again to extract all the lime juice and mix well — don’t strain the mixture.
- Fill the glass almost to the top with ice cubes.
- Pour in white rum, then top with club soda.
- Stir gently, taste, and adjust sweetness with more sugar if needed.
- Garnish with extra mint leaves or a lime wedge for the perfect finish.
