1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds), cut into serving pieces
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

Skin the chicken pieces if desired and pat them dry with paper towels. Place the flour in a large bowl or resealable bag and season it with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour the buttermilk into a separate bowl. Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, coating it completely, then transfer it to the seasoned flour and coat well.
