Ingredients

  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans (for coating)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley

Optional Variations

  • ½ cup finely chopped dried beef
  • ½ cup crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • ½ cup cooked crumbled bacon
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • Mini chocolate chips (for a sweet dessert version)
  • Skip nuts for a no-nuts version

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl or food processor, combine cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), and minced garlic. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add shredded Cheddar cheese and blend until fully combined but still slightly textured.
  3. If using optional add-ins (dried beef, pineapple, ranch seasoning, bacon, or cranberries), gently fold them into the mixture.
  4. Shape into one large ball or 3 to 4 smaller balls.
  5. Refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes to firm slightly.
  6. In a shallow bowl, mix chopped pecans and parsley. Roll the chilled cheese ball in the coating until fully covered.
  7. Serve immediately with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables. For best flavor, allow the cheese ball to sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
